School asks judge to stay order in transgender bathroom case

(AP) — A Virginia school board is asking a federal judge not to force it to allow a transgender teen to use the boys bathroom when school resumes this fall. U.S. District Court Judge Robert G. Doumar ordered last week that the Gloucester County School Board must let Gavin Grimm use the bathroom that corresponds to his gender identity while the court examines the legal issues of his case.
