Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake said on Wednesday that it's "quite possible" that Donald Trump will lose his state after a series of polls showed the race between the presumptive GOP presidential nominee and Hillary Clinton as either extremely close or in the former secretary of state's favor.

But Flake, in an interview with Business Insider, said that it won't affect fellow Arizona Sen. John McCain's efforts at reelection in the traditionally deep-red state.

The Veterans Affairs Department Inspector General launched an investigation last year into a VA crisis hotline's performance. The investigation found that at least 23 veterans, troops or family members who called the crisis line in fiscal 2014 were transferred to a voicemail system and their calls never returned.

2 workers die from toxic fumes in oil tanker
