Alleged dog hoarders charged with abuse and neglect

(AP) — A San Diego County couple who allegedly hoarded 169 dogs in filthy conditions has been charged with animal cruelty and neglect. Prosecutors on Tuesday announced felony charges against 62-year-old Christine Calvert and 73-year-old Mark Vattimo of Poway. More than a month ago, authorities found 123 Yorkshire terriers and Yorkie mixes at the couple's filthy, mouse-infested home and at a second location.

Ohio bill would allow protective orders for dating violence
