Zion National Park closes climbing cliffs to protect falcons

SPRINGDALE, Utah (AP) — More than a dozen climbing routes on rocky cliffs in southern Utah's Zion National Park have been temporarily closed to help protect peregrine falcons. Angels Landing, Cable Mountain, The Great White Throne, The Sentinel, Mountain of the Sun, North Twin Brother, Tunnel Wall, The East Temple, Mount Spry, The Streaked Wall, Mount Kinesava the Middle Fork of Taylor Creek and the Isaac route in Court of the Patriarchs.

New Exxon CEO says company will boost production

NEW YORK (AP) — Exxon's new CEO says the company will increase production and has a mix of projects to handle any level of oil and gas prices. Darren Woods also said Tuesday at a meeting with investors that Exxon Mobil Corp. is committed to increase its dividend and will buy back shares when the company has extra cash. By the end of 2018, Exxon expects to start production from five major projects in Russia, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Angola.
