Maine man to stand trial in killing of former girlfriend

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (AP) — A Maine man who hid in the woods for a week after the fatal shooting of his girlfriend two years ago is due to go on trial this week.

An autopsy concluded she died from a gunshot wound to the chest and multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck.
