Joan Smalls, Liya Kebede and Jourdan Dunn join Cate Blanchett as best dressed guests at the Tony Awards
With all the drama and intricate detail put into the aesthetic of Broadway productions, it is no surprise that last night's Tony Awards saw an impressive array of gowns make their way onto the red carpet.
One of the most stylish looks of the evening came from model Joan Smalls, whose floor length, low cut Altuzarra gown had silver, red and black embellishment with a raised hem at the front to avoid swamping her small frame, adding to the elegance.
Parting her hair to the side and pulling it back in a dramatic pontyail, Smalls added a vampy edge to her look with deep bronzer and a red smoky eye.
Fellow model Liya Kebede also stood out thanks to her gown.
A mid-length monochrome piece by Proenza Schouler with a black turtleneck layered beneath, Kebede looked the very definition of high fashion as she too kept her hair pulled back off her face.
Joining the run of well-dressed models was British star Jourdan Dunn, who plumped for a less edgy aesthetic than Kebede and Smalls in a classic blush pink satin gown by Zac posen.
With a knee-length hem staggered as it fell into a full-skirted hem towards the back, Dunn kept her hair loosely feathered and her accessories delicate with classic diamond earrings and a necklace draped elegantly around her neck.
