Fiji's Ambassador to UN Wins Vote for General Assembly Presidency

Peter Thomson of Fiji won out over Andreas Mavroyiannis of Cyprus in a 94-90 vote to become the next president of the UN General Assembly, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in a statement on Monday.
