To create these outfits, we enlisted the help of makeup artist Belladelune, and Trunk Club stylist and South Texas native Sofia Maldonado.
Sofia tells BuzzFeed, "As a Latina from Texas trying to make it 'big,' I connected with her ambition and Selena's story...Her songs were powerful, fun, and made people feel good. You could always count on a big dance party when "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" or "Como la Flor" would come on at Quinceañeras or weddings."
"When creating these looks, I kept in mind that Selena has such a strong and loyal fan base, so I wanted to stay as true to her original looks as possible while incorporating today's trends."
