Virginia governor announces new egg processing operation
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A New York-based company plans to spend $6.4 million to open a new egg processing operation in Virginia.
Gov. Terry McAuliffe announced Wednesday that Handsome Brook Farm plans to purchase $50 million in Virginia eggs during the next three years and create 105 new jobs.
McAuliffe said Virginia won out over Pennsylvania for the new project, which he said is the largest jobs announcement in Clarke County on record.
McAuliffe approved a $200,000 state grant, which Berryville and Clarke County are matching for the project
