The SDP governorship candidate revealed this in a statement on Wednesday, June 29 at the 3rd Seyi Makinde Ramadan Lecture held at the premises of Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state

Makinde explained that with much supplications to God and total commitment of the populace to its progress, Nigeria was sure seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
He however refused to comment on political issues. Makinde stated that anybody who did not belong to his political camp will not be in any camp.

“I give thanks to God for witnessing another Ramadan. It is only by God’s grace that one is alive. I enjoined the people to keep faith with God because He is the merciful and benevolent in trying times,’’ The SDP candidate said.

Makinde advised Muslims to use the holy month of Ramadan to seek forgiveness from God and repent sincerely from their sinful deeds
