As Portugal go into battle for a place in the semi-final of Euro 2016 against Poland much will be expected of Cristiano Ronaldo to lift his team all the way to the finals.
CR7 has scored two goals in the competition, one short equaling the all-time tournament goal scorers record of nine by Michel Platini of France and at the moment the Real Madrid winger is set for another tussle for the player of the year award with Messi.

The just concluded season saw Messi win the La Liga and the Copa Del Rey with Barcelona while Ronaldo won the prestigious Champions League tournament for Real Madrid scoring 16 goals and named the Most Valuable Player.
Messi’s last hurdle slip at Copa America could stand against the former Argentine Captain but as for Ronaldo it has to be now or never, the Portuguese Captain has to at least win Euro 2016 with Portugal.
Poland are in the way of Ronaldo and Portugal in taking another step towards the player setting another record when they meet at the Stade Velodrome in Marsielle.
