Former minister disappointed as CCT judge makes decision
The judgement on the false declaration of asset by the former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday Orubebe has been stalled today, June 30.
A new date for judgement on the matter has been slated for Tuesday July 19 due to the absence of the chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Umar.

Umar is said to be away on a trip.

Although the former minister was also not seen in court, NAIJ.com gathered that Orubebe was served on the new date for judgement two days ago by the office of the attorney general of the federation.
Also, a notice seen by NAIJ.com indicated that all cases at the Code of Conduct Tribunal have rescheduled.
Orubebe is currently facing trial on a one-count charge bordering on the false declaration of his asset at plot number 2057 of Cadastral zone Asokoro, Abuja during his tenure as a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Other matters at the CCT that were also adjourned as seen by NAIJ.com in a memo signed by the deputy director of legal at the CCT, Bintu Abubakar were cases against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki which has been penned for July, 13 and the case against Rasheed Taiwo slated for July 26.

The ongoing trial of the Senate President still stands at July 13, 2016, for ruling on his new application for the Umar to stay off his trial, having been alleged to have demanded and received bribe from an accused person.
The trial of Rasheed Owolabi, a retired Deputy Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service who has accused the CCT boss of demanding and receiving bribe from him, continues with a ruling, also on his application for the CCT Chair to stay off his trial for July 28, 2016.
