Initial jobless claims rose a bit more than expected.

The latest reading came in at 268,000, above economists' expectations of 267,000.

The 4-week moving average was 266,750, a drop of 250 from the previous week's average of 267,000.

Initial claims have now been below 300,000 for 68 straight weeks — the longest streak since 1973.
