Giants’ Matt Moore gets hitting advice from Madison Bumgarner
Giants pitcher Matt Moore got some nuanced advice from future hitting coach Madison Bumgarner.
Moore is beginning his first full season in the National League, which means his first year as a regular hitter.
The left-hander had only nine plate appearances in interleague games over his first five seasons in the majors.

Aaron Hill will start at third Wednesday and Jimmy Rollins will play second base in the home half of Thursday’s split squad. ...

Chris Marrero drove in two runs in the third inning with a drive off the center-field wall but had to stop at first with a single when he tripped on the bag. ...
