49ers: Patriots reportedly ‘not expected’ to trade Garoppolo

New England is “not expected” to deal its backup quarterback, who is expected to draw the interest of QB-needy teams such as the 49ers, ESPN reported.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, 40, has said he plans to play several more seasons, but Garoppolo, 25, provides a solid insurance policy before potentially assuming Brady’s spot.
