Mountain View School District head defends arming staff
LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — The head of the Mountain View School District is speaking out in support of a new policy allowing trained staff members to carry firearms in schools.
The Lewiston Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/2lyFxSu ) that the school board on Monday approved a policy that allows staff members who elect to be trained as district security officers to ask as an armed line of defense in the case of an emergency.
