That's the highest number in a midterm election since 1998. Female candidates won at least 114 races, including both new candidates and incumbents. The Democratic Party's effort to make history in the Florida governor's race fell short, with Ron DeSantis defeating Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum by less than 60,000 votes. In the Senate race, Sen. Bill Nelson is trailing Republican Gov. Rick Scott by 38,000 votes, and there may have to be a recount. Manuel Bojorquez reports.
