A CBS News investigation has uncovered an alleged lack of action by one of the most powerful Catholic church leaders in handling sex abuse claims. Cardinal Daniel DiNardo has been the archbishop of Galveston-Houston since 2006 and is president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Last week he presided over around 300 bishops in Baltimore to address the church's sex abuse crisis. Nikki Battiste reports.

Woman searches for family friend missing in California fires

Police investigate mysterious mansion deaths of New Jersey family

Police are investigating the mysterious circumstances surrounding a possible quadruple homicide of a family at a New Jersey mansion. A massive fire broke out Tuesday at a property in the wealthy suburb of Colts Neck where authorities found four bodies. Authorities have not released the victims' names, but records show the mansion was owned by a tech CEO. Don Dahler reports.

Romaine lettuce pulled from shelves amid another E. coli outbreak

Ahead of Thanksgiving, Americans are being warned to stay away from all romaine lettuce. The CDC says the vegetable is connected to an E. coli outbreak that's made at least 32 people sick in 11 states. Thirteen have been hospitalized. Anna Werner reports.

4 dead in suspected arson at New Jersey mansion

The bodies of a couple and their two children were found Tuesday afternoon as a deliberately set fire swept through their sprawling estate in the upscale community of Colts Neck, New Jersey. Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni said the intense fire damage was "creating some challenges" in the initial investigation.
