Victim found fatally wounded Wednesday morning by lake on South Side

An unidentified man was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head near the lake Wednesday morning in the Bronzeville neighborhood, Chicago police said. Shortly before 8:30 a.m., an adult male was discovered in the 3900 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to UChicago Medicine where he was pronounced dead. Police have opened a death investigation pending autopsy results. Detectives were investigating.
