Over the last 21 seasons, only twice has college football crowned a champion that hailed from a "blue" state Trump didn’t carry in 2016 – on both occasions, the USC Trojans. Otherwise, the sport has been dominated by red-state institutions -- Monday's Clemson-LSU game title game the latest example.
