Luka Doncic, along with coach Jason Kidd, had been a driving force in the Mavs trading for Kyrie Irving. Kris Dunn’s 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz will expire on Saturday. But the Jazz aren’t going to be letting Dunn walk. Sources with knowledge of the situation told the Deseret News that the Jazz will be signing Dunn to a second 10-day contract on Saturday. Dunn, 28, is in his seventh NBA season. After signing a 10-day contract with the Jazz on Feb. 22, he immediately thrust into the rotation with injuries to Jordan Clarkson and Collin Sexton opening up some minutes.

Memphis Grizzlies center Brandon Clarke went down near the end of the first quarter and needed to be helped to the locker room by his teammates against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night. After shooting a free throw, Clarke took a lunge forward and immediately started hobbling before falling near halfcourt while attempting to get back on defense. The injury appeared to be a non-contact injury as Clarke swiftly reached for the back of his left leg. He was on the floor near midcourt and needed assistance as the first quarter buzzer expired. Orlando Magic second-year forward Franz Wagner left Friday’s road game against the Charlotte Hornets because of a sprained left ankle, the team announced during the third quarter. Wagner awkwardly fell and rolled the ankle after JT Thor nudged him while Wagner was trying to receive a low pass from Jalen Suggs midway through the second quarter.
