Incidentally, is he really that homesick for the York area? Or is it just that he still doesn’t get on with his snobby neighbours over here.
I would imagine he would be a better fit at Leeds than Hull, should the opportunity come along at the end of the season.

My guess that Wigan will resign Gelling and as earlier posted said would probably not count on the quota for the duration of the contract he’s offered and same for other players. I am told Widnes have a lot of emerging talent at younger level. More than likely the wolves are stalking their prey as I type this.

I agree, however, at the risk of sounding bitter - Burrell is past it, and isn't that great a signing IMO. He may end up being a very good Super League player (that's not what I'm arguing). But us signing Burrell from Union isn't turning their heads and making people think "wow, Rugby League are going big and taking our best players". Instead they're thinking "ah, he's a bit past it and now he's trying Rugby League again to cash in".
It would have to be someone like an Owen Farrell to create that type of reaction. Читать дальше...
1k tickets sold - guess plenty more will be driving over without tickets too. Decent turnout that.

I am the author of the novels One Winter, One Spring, One Summer, One Autumn, Two Seasons and Three Good Years. This coming Saturday (February 23rd) I will be behind a table in the Airedale Shopping Centre in Keighley opposite WH Smith from 10 a.m. signing copies of my latest novel.
"Three Good Years" is set between 2006 and 2008 and has a background of work, family life, saving the NHS and Rugby League.
I will also have a few other interesting Rugby League books with me including Trevor Delaneys' "Come On Northern". Читать дальше...

Coventry in the cup springs to mind for Mr Ogden, when our Hull contingent might just duck out.

Widnes have entered administration, can’t pay the staff and Sunday’s match against Sheffield called off. Out of the frying pan and into the fire for KP, unfortunately.

Am I reading this right?
Lilley has received a 1 match penalty notice for foul language to a match official, but James Green gets....nothing??
Yep, looking a bit closer they deemed sending off sufficient. Wow.

What I don't like is the balance of the pack with Merrin up front, to accommodate Sutcliffe, given that Ferres and Ward are good enough to start in the back row too.
