Bradford Bulls - RedAmberandBlack.net • Round 2: Swinton (A)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

After a good narrow win against Fev the next task for the Bulls is Swinton Lions.

I’d personally go with the same team as the Featherstone game except I’d have Magrin in the team barring injury and Storton in for Hallas.

Pickersgill
Hitchcox
Webster
Evans
Ryan
Lilley
Chisholm
Kirk
Wildie
Crossley
Minchella
Farrell
Wood

Flanagan
Green
Magrin
Storton

This game is important in my eyes. On paler we should win this but as we know Swinton will be a tough test. Читать дальше...

Wakefield Trinity • Dreadnoughts

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Referring to snowie's mention of this book on another thread prompts me to ask if anyone else remembers this great history of Trinity from its founding in 1873 up until the glorious years of the sixties.
I had a copy myself, but in a moment of "madness" I gave it to another poster on this forum. We still joke about the fact that he has a copy and I now don't.
It reminds me of other books about our great club, particularly "100 Years of Rugby" by John Lindley, the recent Mike Rylance club history... Читать дальше...

Absolutely. Credit where credit is due here. The white numbers were far more easier to spot. Well done.

If a deal is signed off that enables the City of Wakefield to have a fit for purpose stadium then there maybe no need to oppose.

Up the Trin

I would love that to happen, but before February 21st I doubt it very much. After all these years of false promises, I don’t trust our own council or any of the developers to deliver the promises made to the Wakefield citizens. We all need to keep ahead of Council/developers and oppose any applications... Читать дальше...

Well seen as people are including some non SL ones

Brett Delaney - Featherstone = retired due to injury

Reoccurrence of a bad facial injury he suffered for Leeds last year that has left him with vision problems and requires more surgery.

A real unsung member of the Leeds team, not one that did or will in the future get the mentions that others did/will but one of those players that teams have especially in the back row that other clubs fans don’t rate but their own fans recognise the work and effort they put in. Читать дальше...

I'd pretty much go with the same line-up as we fielded v Saints, apart from one change; Escare for Isa. Escare is a game breaker, at times this sort of player is valuable in a tight game, coming on running rings around tired legs.

We're a team who have a new coach with new structures and attacking patterns. They need time together to gel and play the way Lam wants us to play, for this, keep it as it is.

When have escare ever ran rings around anyone in a wigan shirt? Читать дальше...

He didn't say vs each other in the same game. I don't think they have until it was all too late.

Clearly, Jon is hoping that BB will end up back at Saints.

I suppose we have to be careful how we respond because Barba hasn't been convicted of anything yet, but in the age of the #MeToo movment Wilkin may come to regret voicing that opinion.

MeToo = Guilty without trial. Very dangerous times.

Wakefield Trinity • Vastmans PC Brigade

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Vasty was appalled with the training ground bust up at Cas when Milner slotted Roberts. Vasty is very right on and felt that RL players should be in touch with softer feelings and that it was not a good thing for Milner to express his frustration with a team mate who he felt was not putting in the effort. Others, myself included felt that it was a good thing for Cas and that it evoked memories of Rocky Turner, that attitude funnily enough corresponded with Trinity`s glory years. Cas defended their... they don't have his job role as a work category i think i read yesterday, which is a bit weird. We've had greg mccallum over here in the past and old ashley clown.

tbh though i hadn't heard anything to say that he was coming over to officiate over here, so its a bit of a turn up for the books.

Drinkwater no. There's a reason he can't nail down a contract. Although he played solid today and that performance would be sugar in a Wire kit.
But if your asking me in undertone of Drinkwater to oust Patton.
It's a no from me. I've seen Patton play far away better than I've seen Drinkwater play.
The kid just needs a break.

When have you seen Patton play far away better than Drinkwater?

Warrington Wolves • Dec Patton

I liked Patton at Hooker, but don't feel he is up to the standard of a super league halfback. It's the only area I have concerns about this season.

Matt Cecchin, one of the top referees in the NRL wants to officiate in this country but had had his Visa application turned down twice. Seems strange when pension seeking players have no problem, he would certainly be an asset to the game in this country.
