Scrimshaw and Georgiou were always rubbish, and only in because of Scrimshaws dad. I would be shocked if Martin was one.

Oh come on. You don’t think the sporting and social landscape has changed in 65 years?

I think Fax can be bigger than they are of course with some investment and some success but to suggest they are a “sleeping giant” based on attendances from 65 years ago is just daft.

This is not having a go at Fax, it’s just a little realism is needed.
They are also surrounded by current decent sized clubs in Huddersfield, Bradford and Keighley, which would restrict their... Читать дальше...

A bit nutty in the Gelling way. Brilliant for us and amazing what he is still doing now. Who knows, down the line he may become our coach? Just comes across as a daft kid but there is a sharp RL mind in his noggin

Drums. Just leave them to Phil Collins, Chester Thompson, Neil Peart etc.

Other musical instruments. Seriously. WTF? Just go away.

Someone previously mentioned THAT Leeds song. God, I'm envious. I know it's the height of 70's kitsch, but it's FANTASTIC. Whenever I hear it on Sky, I'm almost singing it myself.

Times change, so do team's locations. We're never going to recreate the Fletcher End. Those days are gone, as now our fan base has moved from a hugely predominant young to old male base, to a more family based support.

so with TWP all but nailed on for promotion and one super duper league team coming down, i see next year even more exciting. Leigh look like they are building, widnes will be on nil points (as of season start) hopefully we will strengthen with our young base becoming more mature (prays to gods of no admin as rumors are abound) ... good rivalry between us and York emerging and a fantastic side they have to boot, fev hopefully can get a side sorted not a Leeds A team, Fax will always be strong and although Sheffield has fallen away somewhat... A very risky signing, at his best he’s a fantastic player but we haven’t seen that for two seasons now which is why he’s moving to England. Could be a very expensive mistake but could also massively pay off. Can’t fault your intent but thankfully you’ve got a really poor coach.

I can hear your knees knocking from here
Also, re the coach we have confirmed one for next year. How about you?

Let's see if we can keep this one on topic shall we?

Wigan have signed Bevan French (effective immediately) and George Burgess (from 2020 on a three year deal)

London Broncos sign Brock Lamb effective immediately.

The Fax players had been working on building sites and farms in the intense heat all week and you struggled to put them away. Using excuses like ‘it was raining’ or ‘we were missing Lachlan Coote’ really won’t wash and it was clear your players were having a few mental wobbles.

Dress it up how you like, make out in your mind that it’s the rest of superleague who should actually feel worried because they’re somehow inferior to a part time team, struggling in the... Читать дальше...

London Broncos • Is this why the RFL is not fit for purpose

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

On the idiocy of the RFL why would anyone think it is plausible to PAY to hire a FOOTBALL club for the triple header. London and Catalan are too far away to be considered for this. Castleford, Hull, St Helens, Leeds, Warrington Halifax could not be considered as it needs to be neutral territory however this leaves Wakefield, Salford, Wigan and Huddersfield to choose from. Any one of these could have been chosen and paid to host and the gate money divided between all teams or put into marketing or development. Читать дальше...
