Police investigation into Manni/ground purchase is old news and does not concern the club.

Club glad to see back of Manni as a landlord.

Club did not pay over the odds - Manni made £600k on BV sale - which was taken off him by authorities.

NEW member of coaching staff to be announced in next few days.

Did they say what department the new coach would be in? Strength and conditioning or general coach etc

Were those the days Grandstand would show just one half of a match? I think just half of that match was shown

A couple of years ago stood in the pissing rain at Trailfinders. Dump of a ground, never again. Plough Lane though and I'm interested.

Not after an opinion on him as a player, I've already worked that out, pretty decent.

Just wondering if you think his future is at Hudds or is he a player you don't intend to keep?

Wigan Warriors • Furlough

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Just noticed that the furlough scheme has now been extended until the end of April. This hopefully will be helpful for the clubs - in my opinion the end of April/May time will be the absolute earliest we'll get decent crowds back in stadiums. Does anyone know the extent to which clubs can utilise this? Can they furlough players for example in the off-season? I imagine all clubs have been maximising reductions in staffing costs by furloughing all but those who are essential to keeping the business running and getting the team on the field. Hull KR • Expectations for 2021

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

So, with all the latest comings and goings how do we think we'll do in 2021? In my opinion, we won't challenge the top 4 of St.Helens; Wigan; Leeds and Warrington. I see the next tier as being Castleford; Hull FC; Catalan. How Salford and Huddersfield will go after losing and gaining Ian Watson will be interesting. So that leaves us; Wakefield and Leigh. I think that if we can keep a healthy squad we can and should compete quite comfortably for a high mid-table finish and not be troubled about finishing towards the bottom. Читать дальше...

The Sin Bin • Covid Christmas Chaos

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Well, we can all have 3 households round at Christmas but, it's probably going to kill some of us off as a result.
Bojo's 5 days of Christmas are likely to cause a huge rise in covid cases and a huge number of needless deaths.

Lead by the Tory press, we now have some of the worst mixed messaging seen from the bumbling, bungling government.

Once again, "following the science" is just a lie and applicable only when it suits their own agenda.

Instead of a message of minimal contact and mixing... Читать дальше...

A factor that didn't help during the best years of TS was the playoff format being top 8 and Leeds being good at having a mediocre season and then getting it together in the playoffs. So we would sit there and watch Wire rack up 50 and 60 point scores on teams while thinking this will count for nothing when the playoffs start. .

I think we sometimes forget that "London" as a geographical entity is almost meaningless. I feel for their fans because the poor buggers never know where they'll be from one year to the next, and also people who may have been attracted at one location may find the travel is offputting when they next move. That lack of continuity surely harms their ability to get and keep new fans.

Good point. I can remember London always bringing a small travelling band of fans to games oop t'north... Читать дальше...
