Hull FC • New Halfback?

I'm not sure what's going on with Clark. Is it simply a poor pre-season due to that operation? There's more to it than a lightweight pack.

He's not been the player he was for getting on for a couple of years.

Bateman was quality tonight. That’s the Bateman Wigan are paying 200k a year for. Shows what he can do when he has good players around him instead of the dross at Wigan

the same dross that knocked Stains out of the cup and then went onto win the same cup.

Well despite all the scepticism and predictions, Saints more than played their part with 5 England players in the 17 for England.

Whatever happened last year happened and with the maximum quota per club, we only had Lomax and Knowles pull out.

Percival was injured and didn’t play against HKR last week.

Certainly can’t blame Woolf this time.

Lets give the super duper Saints a medal for all their efforts in single-handedly propping up... Читать дальше...

It’s probably been my biggest frustration over the years in that we haven’t always got that quite right but I’m pretty confident we are going to do very well next season… even more so if we hang on to KPP and bring in a quality Centre.

Yeah, if we get Wardle to come in and keep French that’s us set to improve again next season, I don’t see us needing anymore recruits outside of maybe another centre? Читать дальше...

Didn't bother with it, I don't even watch any games that are on sky anymore. Just glad Hull players came out seemingly unscathed. Apart from that couldn't care less.

Agree about your first two, Vanners. Really impressed with the the way O'Donnell takes the ball into contact, stays on his feet and then, like an outsize Phil "Rubber Man" Ford, wriggles free enough to offload whilst tying up two or three of the oppos.

If his offload goes to Ipape within sniffing distance of the line, Snake Hips will do the rest (usually between or close to the uprights).

Aekins had already proven himself to be a good attacking FB long before Fergy arrived. The latter... Читать дальше...

Nothing special. Most annoying was the constant chatter from the "experts". Someone should tell them to keep their mouths shut while there's action on the pitch

Wigan Warriors • Bateman

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Outstanding performance today.

What was interesting was to see he could be very effective in the traditional 13 role.

It was a very Cam Murray/Victor Radley style performance.

Did the tough stuff but also provided the link between the backs and the forwards which he seemed to struggle with whilst he took on the role with us.

After that performance it will be interesting to see if he gets another run for us in the traditional loose forwards role particularly when KPP returns. Читать дальше...
