Unfortunately, not a lot of people look at it the way you do TQ. Good post
Maybe that can start to happen a bit more with the right encouragement? ;)
As I kind of said above, if we think that these players need to improve and could do better, let's spell out to them how we think they could achieve that.
If we want to let certain players and whoever else pays attention know that we think that these players should go to another team because they will never be good enough for ours, let's do that during the transfer window because outside of that we're only helping the competition by tearing down our own players. The manager has made his moves and these players are part of the squad until January. Therefore at times like this when the window's just closed, let's pull together and when we want to tell them that what they offered wasn't good enough, let's see if we can do that as if we are part of the team, let's see if we can be a bit more positive than some of the offerings earlier in this thread.
I reckon most of us have probably been involved in team sport. If you know that someone is not leaving the team any time soon but you feel that they could do better, do you say - 'You suck and I think you're a c%nt' or do you say - 'I think that you're letting yourself and the team down. I believe in you and think that you can do better. Do you think that you are playing with confidence and giving your best or am I right?'
Let's encourage our players to come and read what's written here by being the most knowledgeable but also the most enthusiastic, positive and inclusive fans on the internet. Let's be the 15th player. It can't do any harm, can it?
