Got a panicked phone call from my Mom this morning that they had a leak in the kitchen as they were fitting new taps to the sink. Get there to find they had started to change the taps without turning the water off, and they didn't know where stopcock was... Kitchen was like a swimming pool, so after much effing and blinding on my part I found the stopcock and got sorted and changed tap for them. I have now banned my dad from DIY as it always leads to call to me to sort it out after, and that takes longer than me doing the job in the first place.
