Rowett did well for us, but towards the end, we were stagnant under him.

We just were.

Also, while his style of play and the type of players he signed were effective to an extent, I never felt they could have gone any higher.

His legacy of hard working players with little talent effectively put a glass ceiling above us.

Adding quality to that squad was always going to be difficult, as it's proving. We are moving in the right direction, although not as quickly as some people seem to expect.

If this persists into October and November, we need to worry. Panicking after one game of our final squad being together is absolutely ludicrous, and people need to take a little step back I think.
