A lot of clubs employ DOF's to guide the signing of players and many on these pages have accused Dein of doing just that. The logic behind such an appointment is that when managers get fired, the club can continue to grow with a group of plays that are signed to the clubs philosophy and not managers. Chelsea are the most high profile example of this but Southampton also operate like this, Swansea and Watford too and, before Pulis, WBA. Now, I'm not saying this is what we're doing, although it seems likely and if that is the case then the removal of Harry weeks after signing so many players matters not. They are not his players, they are the club's.
