I reckon that based upon the type of things Harry said many times along the lines of 'I don't have much to do with buying players' that the system we have in place is one where the manager has almost nothing to do with the buying process, which would explain why they didn't have any problem getting rid of Harry because he wasn't able to turn the players he inherited and the ones that were brought in for him into a winning side, really quickly.
I suppose this is right. 'Arry is the very model of the old style wheeler-dealer manager and probably the least likely person to knuckle under and work with a system where he has limited input into the composition of the squad. Sooner or later (and it's been very much sooner) it was probably always going to end in tears, and in hindsight we should have said thanks very much for saving and let him leave a hero and a Blues legend.
