Big Sam isn't about to take up a job and change his whole outlook on football to buy into a new five-year vision at Blues.

8 years with Bolton 4 years with WHU he has done it before. I would expect a quick no from him tbh, but if the board fancied him, no harm in sounding him out.

You can move onto next target, if it is a no. Wouldn't hurt to ask the question of him and I am sure I heard he lived locally to Bruce around the Knowle area?, but I may be imagining that?
