I think I mentioned wanting him on here in the summer, so apologies if anybody has already read this, but:

He essentially got Brentford promoted (think Warburton took charge of last few months to get them over the line) and he completely changed the mentality there from a middling League One club into a side which was acting and training like a Premier League one. He was in charge that day Donny counter-attacked in the 94th min to score and get promoted and then in the final when they bottled it in the first half and lost 2-1 to Yeovil. Then he completely changed the squad and won automatic promotion with Warburton who took many plaudits.

Then he went to Wigan, managed in the Europa League, beat Man City in the cup, took Arsenal to penalties at Wembley in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and qualified for the play-offs. The next season they started a bit sluggishly and he was sacked. Dave Whelan said at the time that it was a very harsh sacking. Two managers later, Wigan were down.

Then went to the madhouse that was Leeds and lasted 12 games - but think it's harsh to judge anybody under Cellino (apart from Dave Hockaday). Now he's working absolute wonders at Fleetwood on a modest playing budget. They've invested a lot into the infrastructure of the club with a new training ground etc, but on the pitch, he hasn't had much to work with. He's improved them by having very good coaching methods. Look at the improvement in Amari Bell for somebody we can relate to.

He plays in the manner I like, too. They're quite attacking, press heavily, switches between formations (including wing-backs...) and seems intent on installing a mentality that is infectious at the club. I'd love him here.
