One simple thing Burton did and Preston.

Run at them. Pass it quick and run at them direct. You'll open them up like a tin of baked beans. That's basically what must have been said.

It's easy when you have the best players. Teams are too frightened to push you in this way. Managers like Zola and Redknapp are not used to having to deal with this because they have always had the best players, relatively. That's why trying to play too much "football" just won't work unless you have zillions to spend. We need somebody who can be more pragmatic.
