Is she in a union? She could bring a grievance on grounds of being unreasonable. Ultimately it could be a case of constructive dismissal. It sounds like she is potentially being discriminated against on grounds of her sex, so that could be a major consideration.
It’s not easy doing these things though, which is why union support for example is helpful. It depends on what else she might be able to get as well. Sometimes it is just a relief to say feck it.
