I think we've done well in all areas barring midfield. I don't know whether he was trying to make a point yesterday to Dein and Vetere in playing Gleeson and to some extent Kief, if he did it worked, if he didn't it's incompetence on his part.
Seeing Gleeson is now soul destroying for me though.

I was doom and gloom under Zola for a reason but this panic under harry is not just, yet.

People saying n'doye is a disgrace on Facebook and stuff. Ridiculous. 2 games ago he was one of the best players on the pitch and Bristol rated him.

IMO Shotton is very capable but too unreliable/inconsistent. He has very good technical ability (hence Boro want him), far more than our other centre backs, but his application and concentration let him down too often. He has had some shockers in recent months, but I suspect that's largely down to him being unsettled.

Roberts has had a shaky start with us, and I'm far from convinced. However, when you've just joined a club then find you have a Kamikaze manager who keeps saying how rubbish the team is... Читать дальше...

Not good enough, something is going wrong with the conditioning. Doesn't help Harry at all, can't play the team he wants to.

What has tracking back got to do with basic defending - of crosses in particular? Isn't it captain fantastic's job to organise that defence and get them singing off that same 'Hyme' sheet?

Admittedly, I didn't witness Shotton's stand-in performance in the cup, but his willingness and athleticism has to be a better option than 'Morro' and Roberts, surely. It's worrying that not one of them looks assured in defence, we're going to be relying heavily on Stockdale to keep bailing us out if it continues.
