Re: Fullbacks

Small Heath Alliance

Nope, I don't think you can play Colin left back as he gets lost when teams counter.
And I don't think you can play the back four we had last night even.
I'd put Colin RB, Grounds LB and maybe put Nsue RM until Jota is back.
Oh, and I've doubts over the Dean Morrison partnership.
Other than that I'd agree! :D

Don't Worry, Harry's Team Is Coming Together

Small Heath Alliance

We was at Elland Road last night & witnessed a very good team performance. We were unlucky to lose, we should have left Yorkshire with at least a point, you could argue we should have had all 3. The level headed amongst us have always known bedding in so many new faces was going to take time & don't worry we are coming good.

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

You say it's a ridiculous notion, but I'm sure it took Arsenal a while a few years ago to work out something was wrong with their training pitches.

Who knows what the problem is, there may not even be one, but I don't think it's true that if there was something wrong Blues hierarchy would 100% know about it. These things can slip under the radar sometimes.

Too many questions, but good luck for the season.

I seem to remember you going berserk when O'Leary waved to his family in the Kop after Blues / Villa?

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

I think it is just bad luck personally. We as have many other clubs have had injury crisis at one time and another and will so do in the future. i was just pointing out the OP how few full training sessions there may be in a week at Wast Hills and as you quite rightly point out, Adams, Vassell and Jota have all been injured playing and not training at Wast Hills.

Last injury I remember that was non playing was Morrison's lengthy absence last season? B)

Re: FLA

FLA as in EDL?

FLA

Small Heath Alliance

So c'mon then own up who took the rather large FLA flag last night?

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

I was maybe a bit hasty in suggesting it was 100% happening at Wast Hills. It could be a pre-match warm-up issue, it could be anything.

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

As the amount of time spent training is substantially more than the time spent playing an actual match then wouldnt there be injuries also occuring in training itself if the training itself is the cause of the problems ?

Yep, and rightly so. The little shit.

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

But these conversations are so interesting...

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

Good points about Jota and Che. I hope the trend stops now so we don't even have to have these conversations anymore

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

Couple of thoughts here. Jota could well of been tired. Two away games (tough ones at it), lack of training meant a pull. Vassell and Adams can be put down to explosiveness of the way they play.

Also with Adams coming on as sub, did he warm up thoroughly enough before coming on. They go through a light warm up at start of game away from starting eleven and then sit on a bench for 60 mins.

I don't think it's down to the training pitches or the surface

Re: Wast Hills

Small Heath Alliance

People keep telling me about random hamstring injuries at other clubs; I do know they happen sometimes.

The reason for this thread is the repeated trend here, which is totally different
