Re: Apologies

Small Heath Alliance

Many moons ago 3 of us went to the Albion for a Sunday game and did the pub crawl back along the Soho Road. At some point Bob remembered that a bloke owed him some cash, so he left me and mate to go collect his money.

Monday afternoon I'm getting calls to find out what happened to Bob, he didn't go home and he's not at work.

Turns out Bob decided to use the cash to fly over to Amsterdam for a few days to visit some of his mates.

Bob is my hero.

Re: McLaren, Adkins and Poyet emerge as new favourites to take Birmingham vacancy

Small Heath Alliance

McLaren; Adkins; Poyet are all high risk. Don't fancy any of them. We deserve MUCH better. Carsley + Robbo have great potential........ IF they want the jobs permanently........ and if the WHOLE of the Club get behind them and give them a decent period to establish themselves. Both are personable guys with excellent leadership qualities ..... and Blue blood.

Yep I'm in, surprising how under the radar he is considering his cv.

you are mental.

pardew for me

Yeah, ten years at Everton, getting them into Europe and then getting the Man Utd job.

Terrible mate, rubbish manager.

And Raj, I'd love to suggest Thomas Tuchel or someone really exciting and ambitious but it's not going to happen. We're being linked with shit like Adkins and McLaren for a reason.

This theory is built on the belief that all Chinese people are the same!

Ya daft racist!

:P

Re: Former manager Alex McLeish open to Birmingham City return

Small Heath Alliance

That would be like your wife leaving you for your worst enemy when you're in a crisis, then when you've got a new job and lots of cash and look better you decide to take her back even though she's put on weight and got dumped by the bloke she left you for.

When he comes crawling back we should tell him to feck off.

He was Blues manager before we embarked on a season in the Championship and Europe, he left to go to our rivals and tried to sue us.

The tosser.

Open the thread up again.

Billy Davies.

Close the fecker again.

Re: SHA poll - New Manager

Small Heath Alliance

That 8 years was because he was a nobody and was building something there which worked - I can't imagine him having the work ethic now to put all that effort in once again. He'll look for a fire-fighting bumper pay packet or just give it up, I'd imagine.

Re: SHA poll - New Manager

Small Heath Alliance

Paul Hurst? Yeah, they've been brilliant. The only thing with him and the Lincoln guys etc is this league is a completely different kettle of fish and that's why I like Rosler - he's been in this league, he knows how to do well (Wigan) and he knows how brutal it can be (Wigan ptII/Leeds) and that would stand him in good stead.

I'm very keen for us to get a good coach in now. We've got the players, we don't need anybody to go out and find more, we need somebody to get every last drop out of who we have. Читать дальше...

Just noticing some comparisons with what we're going through and what Wolves went through last season.

They were taken over by Chinese owners (reputedly worth many many yuen), appointed Zenga then promptly sacked him after a poor run, appointed the least worst option as manager and consolidated their league position whilst continuing to invest in players. Have an agent / advisor (Mendes) driving or at least heavily involved in player recruitment. Читать дальше...
