Who would be the worst possible appointments you could imagine
I'll start with
John Gregory
David O'Leary
Steve McMahon
Lee Clark

Just noticing some comparisons with what we're going through and what Wolves went through last season.
They were taken over by Chinese owners (reputedly worth many many yuen), appointed Zenga then promptly sacked him after a poor run, appointed the least worst option as manager and consolidated their league position whilst continuing to invest in players. Have an agent / advisor (Mendes) driving or at least heavily involved in player recruitment. Are now second and looking a real force in the league.

I'm confused. You want Big Sam, but you also want somebody who has a long-term vision for the club. Which one is it?
Big Sam isn't about to take up a job and change his whole outlook on football to buy into a new five-year vision at Blues.

I think I mentioned wanting him on here in the summer, so apologies if anybody has already read this, but:
He essentially got Brentford promoted (think Warburton took charge of last few months to get them over the line) and he completely changed the mentality there from a middling League One club into a side which was acting and training like a Premier League one. He was in charge that day Donny counter-attacked in the 94th min to score and get promoted and then in... Читать дальше...
Has anyone mentioned Thierry Henry just done his coaching badges and assistant at Belgium best friends with Darren Dein
He's superb - everything you read about him confirms that and everybody you speak to says about how he transforms clubs and makes players much better.

We really are spoilt for choice
Gonnae no’ dae that!
Big Sam 1st but if a quick no, then Karanka I would be happy if we could get either and more importantly give them a long term vision for the future of the club to build on and not what appears a 1 possibly 2 year shit or bust vision, the club seems to have at the moment.
I think anything is possible with this club at this current moment in time, regarding the next appointment. Who would have forecast Redknapp being appointed 2 hours after Zola was sacked.

McLeish managed Birmingham City for four years, leading them to promotion and Carling Cup glory before leaving for Aston Villa in 2011

Amazed it took him a full 48 hours...
Put your knickers back on love, you're embarrassing yourself.

I like Wilder. Heckingbottom still has a bit to prove for me, but if they can survive this year having lost a lot of players then he'll have done very well.
Rags, I always knew you were a good man.

No Birmingham Mail bullshit where Villa fans can contribute.
Just leave the name of the person you want to be the next manager. Be realistic.
