Just noticing some comparisons with what we're going through and what Wolves went through last season.

They were taken over by Chinese owners (reputedly worth many many yuen), appointed Zenga then promptly sacked him after a poor run, appointed the least worst option as manager and consolidated their league position whilst continuing to invest in players. Have an agent / advisor (Mendes) driving or at least heavily involved in player recruitment. Are now second and looking a real force in the league. Читать дальше...

Can we all stop thinking that a guy who came in and did a bit of coaching for three games is the answer? I'm struggling to see where this idea has come from that he's a top-class gaffer that we're so desperately missing. He struggled in this division with Bristol City when he got them up - their chairman is notoriously patient but got rid of him around Christmas time because the rot had set in.

For what it is worth I don't think Allardyce is remotely realistic.

No it was Mayor that said he was finished with the club. He bought a season ticket for the Holte.

Don't know. I don't care about how shiny their coaching badges are or what they've done, they've got to work in a system with Vetere, Dein and the mystery men pulling the strings. A Lee Clark who gets on with the individuals and is prepared to buy into the working arrangements will be better than a Pochettino who refuses to compromise his ways of doing things. I've no idea who ticks those boxes.
