You could have started this 7 years earlier and included Eddie Brown and Spud Murphy. They both have impressive
Records
How very "bold" of you :P

They're talking about McLaren. Not much new except -
"The Birmingham Mail understands that several interviews in the search to find a new manager have already taken place with more expected."

Stinger, great post and thanks for those wonderful reminders of great players, I would have included cameos by jimmy greenhoff and home grown Phil summerhilll as well.
Never saw ken leek but read once he was left out of Leicester cup final side and sold to us under a disciplinary cloud.
Totally agree that the sale of bob latchford for a pathetic amount plus veteran Howard Kendal and utterly shit full back Archie styles was our road to Damascus in reverse!

Superb showman who could do incredible things with a football as he always had time on the ball. Dugarry in that first season was sublime with flair and skills in shedloads and apart from TF was on a different level from most other forwards that I have seen at Blues. Mikael Forssell had the strikers knack of being in the right place at the right time and deserves an honourable mention. Straying outside of my original time period now though.

Agree with that. Alex Harley was a record signing for us and came from Manchester City. I remember on the first day of the season him lining up looking like a bronzed Adonis. He was awful and hardly scored a goal for us. Turns out Man City had a very talented inside forward who played alongside him and made all the assists.
The rest were awful too. Heskey disappointed as well.
On Saturday all we can do as fans of OUR club is show our full support, LETS GET THE AWAY END ROCKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE BLUES lets show everybody that we all stand together behind whoever is in charge SOTV KEEP RIGHT ON
There's a bit more, if we take that article at face value -

As many of Birmingham’s board members are not based in England, much of the work on recruitment has been undertaken by agent Darren Dein, the son of former Arsenal chairman David.
Dein will spearhead the search for Redknapp’s replacement and Birmingham are pursuing a younger manager to succeed the 70-year-old, with interim manager Lee Carsley in the frame if he can mount a revival.
concerns over his commitment
OMG he's V-NeckPartTwo :P

Interesting take on Redknapp's sacking from the Telegraph's Midlands football correspondent
- TTA watched game on TV from Far East and Redknapp was sacked by phone after the game
- Birmingham Board wanted to sack Redknapp after the Burton Albion game but were persuaded to give him more time (by whom?)
- Redknapp's relationship with Jeff Vetere was thought to be fractious
- There were also believed to be issues with his long distance commute and concerns over his commitment

Aw, I fecking love Thierry Henry.
Yeah, I'll be happy if they choose a permanent manager as soon as possible. I'm not sure about Allardyce, I think he's soiled goods after what happened with England and I find it hard to take him seriously.
I'd be OK with Karanka, Pearson, maybe Cotterill or even Pardew and perhaps Carsley. Maybe even someone who's a real coup that nobody is considering, if it's possible...IE Troy Deeney as player manager :D
Listen to these bunch of girls
Dear oh dear oh dear
What have we become
Because I am a miserable old gift I will have to mention some of the less than prolific strikers we had even though they had been regular goal scores before arriving at Blues:
Probably the most disappointing was Alex Harvey and then Tony Hateley. Jimmy Harris also flattered to deceive. Ronnie Fenton, Graham Leggat are another pair who had reasonable goal scoring records but proved to be less than productive with Blues
