Re: Gardner
Got an assist yes but it wasn't because it was a cracking ball. It was a bit of a naff ball and juke pulled off something unexpected and stuck it in. He did okay but still not overally impressed with him since he's been here

If Boga had the ability to let fly with his right when he cuts in, he would be the best player in the league for me. He literally breezes past player at will.
He doesn't seem to know what he wants to do once he's cut in though. Quality player. I'd definitely have Vassell the other side over Maghoma. I like Maghoma and he has been one of the better players so far, but he gave us nothing yesterday.
Any news on Walsh's exclusion
Gallagher and Vassell at home....dribbles....
I saw Gallagher do that once and it was Boga who didn't see the pass. Boga also had two clear cut chances to shoot. His performance was the highlight for me after Jukes goal.
I'd try Gallagher with Vassell, I think they'll cause havoc.
We said when the side was announced it was a side not to lose rather than a side to win. How the game went though, I thought we got more confident as the game went on and last 20 mins if anyone was going to win it was us. Derby looked a typical Rowett side. With the squad they've got I was expecting them to come at us in waves, very cautious for a home side playing second bottom.
I was unfortunate enough to be on a train full of jubilant inbreds last night on the way back (our train stopped at witton) and I thought I was imagining hearing that tune, obviously not.

I wouldn't say we were attacking.
I'd say we set up to get at the very least a point
Villa have robbed this already from Newcastle's chant about Chancel Mbemba.
Totally agree.
Posted yesterday too, but there were numerous times when he arched his run and held himself onside pointing at where he wanted it (Usually it was Boga) and he cut inside instead of playing him through.
Happened quite a few times in the first half. Juke prefers it to his feet so he can hold it up with his back towards goal. Gallagher actually wants it infront of him so he can run onto it.
Shame nobody looks up and gives him anything to work with.
Yes, ring of fire (tu). Shame they equalised so quickly, once in front I thought we'd go on and win...for all of 2 minutes!
Very much agree with the ironic cheer posts. Morons.
Juke deserves to start, great finish, but don't write Gallagher off. It was a tough gig yesterday for him. Davis and Keogh all over him and yes, the ball could have stuck better at times but not once did Blues turn him around with the kind of ball where he is facing the goal and in general we created so little for him.
There is a player in there, ignore the vile idiots who come on here and try and tell us it's 'another' bad signing by Harry.
Whichever one of them plays, they need a settled team behind them that creates chances and fans that don't ironic cheer when they win headers.
People are writing off Gallagher and want Juke in, but Juke went on a run under Zola where he was missing some of the easiest chances given to him and went ages without scoring. He also went on a run of more than 2 years without scoring before he came to Blues.
I still think Gallagher will come good, but I agree that Juke has earnt his start on Wednesday. Читать дальше...
I met him years ago and found him to be an arrogant tosser. This might well colour my view of his performance as a commentator because I think he's poor; provocatively poor.

Ok , FAO Clinton O'Morrison , you've played for two clubs as big as Sunderland ....
I think we should change the ">" in the thread title to an "&".
Saw about half the game yesterday and having played "predict the team for Derby on here last week" can see where we have problems as a team is a lack of wide options and no out and out lone striker. Gallagher is a good player but he is not a lone striker, same goes for Juke. In fact the only players who have played the lone role effectively for us have been Jerome and Donaldson and this was because they ran their bo11ix off. Читать дальше...

Wow differing opinions, Gardner was awesome/Gardner was shite - Close thread.
Well played Gardner today this was much more like it
Thanks. Still lives just up the road from me up by 'the Green'. Great guy & very humble. Potentially going to become the most decorated sportsperson from this city. How on earth Warwickshire managed to let talent like this slip away is unbelievable

Gingerness doesn't preclude anyone from playing an instrument. Ginger Baker's done OK and that Ed Sheeran bloke's quite popular.
It does preclude one from sexual intercourse though. That's why they invented hair dye.
Yeah not much seen tonight in respect of the heavy weight division.
Rio may have entertainted more lol
