Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (37 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Won a Golden Globe last night for Best Drama Picture.

Just watched it. Very good. Maybe even very, very good.

I'd be surprised if it isn't at least nominated for the Best Film at next month's Oscars.

In cinemas this Friday, I believe.

Small Heath Alliance

I know he's a doghead but always looked a competent tenacious midfielder who can pass. It seems the wolves fans rate him aswell and is available for circa 1 million. Worth a punt?

The Detectorists on BBC iPlayer (11 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

3 series worth, each running 30 minutes long of beautiful photography, subtle writing, laugh-out-loud humour and the sublime closing song over a stunning end sequence, actually is worth the licence fee alone for me. Hope it wins another Bafta.

Andy (Mackenzie Crook) and Lance (Toby Jones) deliver subtle humour while working with poignant & moving lines, building an endearing partnership away from their better halves.

It's a Last of the Summer Wine for young people. Better... Читать дальше...

Karanka To Become New Forest manager (4 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Karanka to become new manager of Notts Forest in the next 24 hours.

Think he turned us down before we appointed Cotterill. Maybe we didn't offer enough money, time wasn't right for him after his fathers death or we weren't on his radar or big enough for him?

Be interesting to see how he gets on with Forest, in the next 18 months to see if he is the one that got away?

Match Hospitality (6 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

I've currently got a season ticket, so won't be doing it this year, but next year, just once, 'm thinking of treating myself and my better half (who isn't remotely sold on the beautiful game), to match hospitality in either the Boardroom Club or Jasper Carrot suite.

Just wondering if anyone on here has done it and whether its worth the expense.

Ta.

So who’s having what for breakfast?

4k HDR (12 replies)

Question about ultra hd 4k Blu Rays.

The majority look fantastic, but the occasional disc looks washed out and grey. Bit like this:

Is this down to the set itself not being able to handle UHD as well as others?

Meeting players (45 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Putting off doing some work so I'm starting this thread.

Which blues players, past or present, have you met out and about? What were they like?

Personally never met any, closest I've come is seeing Darren Carter up town once or twice. Went to an evening with Tom Ross and Lee Clark a few years back. Have met Tom before but Clark seemed like a nice enough bloke.

Edit: I met Ian Bennett before a game against Crewe (I think) in 1998 but I was young then

Harry Kane (1 reply)

Small Heath Alliance

Can't see him lasting beyond this season. Real Madrid I think.

Re: Harry Kane

Small Heath Alliance

I think he'll give them one more year after this one, he will want to play in the new stadium, and a new stadium in theory should increase revenue and Levy's wage structure could/should be broken for Harry.
