Old Blues Shirts (39 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Hi All,

I am a keen collector of old Blues shirts and wanted to see firstly if anyone has any pre-1990 original replica or match-worn shirts (not modern remakes) which they'd be interested in selling. Also, to find out if there are any other fellow collectors out there who may be interested in selling or swapping shirts.

I recently featured in the Mail, but have since add 10 shirts from people responding to the article:

Couple this with the Monk Telegraph interview and you have to feel confident that we have two good blokes in charge.

Have just had my car drivers side totally rite off.

Parked in a line of traffic waiting for road ahead to clear when van behind me try's to over take me he could not get through and crashes in to my drivers side of my car (back to front caved in) lady over at the bus stop had to drag her children out of the way to save them being hit. She is happy to be. A witness for me as she saw the whole incident.

Anyhow he has said he will not admit liability for the accident I am assuming... Читать дальше...

Be a good manager for somebody to pick up he will.

Greatest British War Film (66 replies)

With it being the centenary of the RAF and the BBC running a piece on the retirement of the Tornado it got me thinking about classic British war films. 633 Squadron, Dambusters, A Bridge Too Far. Are the more recent ones (Dunkirk, Darkest Hour etc) up there with the best?

For my money, the greatest British war film isn't a Second World War one, it's the indomitable 'Zulu'. And no, it's not just the name. Great stirring sound tracks, Caine in his pomp and a decent mix of jingoism with real moral and emotional complexities. Читать дальше...

Well said Hurricane...what an appropriate name you have.

You mention the Commonwealth countries but don't forget the Rhodesians.

There were some in the Battle of Britain but their fame was 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron. Lancaster bombers.

I'm a bit bias because I lived there for many years.

He's only on loan at Blackpool isn't he?

Being the cool kid that I am, I follow his Instagram and he's just posted some agent made highlight reels from this season.

League 1 or not, the kid looks to have come on a bundle.

He's taking people on for fun, pinging excellent crosses in and taking good shots from distance.

I know highlight reels could make Olly Lee look semi pro but still, it's encouraging.

IF we stay up then he's the sort I think... Читать дальше...

Sad to see what the Tigers are going through but Miggy will be Miggy and Fulmer is a good pitcher. Both will probably get traded at the trade deadline.
