Bring back Bertie ... (29 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

" Some impressive fisticuffs occurred back in 1963, pre-dating the advent of the red card, when St Andrews played host to a fiery encounter between Birmingham winger Bertie Auld and Fulham's Johnny Haynes. Chris Ferns takes up the story: "If memory serves, Haynes fouled Auld, who was legendary for his temper, and was promptly knocked out in retaliation. Auld then flattened another Fulham player who tried to intervene, rendering him unconscious as well. The upshot was that both Auld and Haynes were sent off... Читать дальше...

Small Heath Alliance

Found out last night that the gig on Saturday in town is off. Hadn’t heard from anybody or seen anywhere that whole tour has been put back to next Feb, so if anybody was planning on going, don’t. We only found out because we were looking to book a hotel, so we could have been even more £££££s down.

And the rescheduled date is at the Genting not the NIA, and on a Tuesday :X

The wage bill. (26 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Just reading an article on Tony Mowbray where he says he will be asking the chicken kings for a wad of money for next season. His rationale is that there are at least 12 clubs in the Championship with a wage bill of at least 40 million quid, and some with a wage bill of 60 million quid.

Are we one of those clubs?

Working hours issues (23 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Need some advice for workplace hours if you don't mind.

Partner has worked at her place for over 10 years. Lately she went back from Maternity on agreed hours by both work and her.
Only few months later they decide those hours aren't suitable for them and ask her to change / shift her hours (start earlier finish later or vice versa) but she can't do that due to nursery run etc.
So she told them she can't do it, so they have taken hours off her claiming she has to be 'flexible', causing her to lose money. Читать дальше...
