Small Heath Alliance

What going on with this embargo? Transfer window is just passing us by...
Any update on this, our central midfield is cack, gonna be a real struggle if this isn’t sorted in the next few weeks.
Would be nice for some positive news for once.

Three games in a row now. Is this of any significance? Or just the club not wanting to talk about the clubs worst kept secret?

There has been two no three that I’ve watched on I player recently
1. Tannadice 87 utterly fantastic, I had forgotten what a genius Jim McLean was, won Scottish league and reached uefa final with glorified pub team, Scottish version of Ron Saunders!
2 The famous five j
Hibs forward line from the fifties, fantastic bit of social history, heroes to the fans but on car worker wages.
3. England, the impossible job.
Great revelations from woy, Sven , and others this was pre world cup18! Читать дальше...

Hi DES. I knew you'd be disappointed if I didn't mention that it's 'documentaries'.

Saw mention of the Zulu in another thread and it got me thinking of all the old fanzines over the years.

The Heathen, the Zulu, Wake Up Blue and the still running MIB.

Have I missed any and which was the best? Being born in 87 I only caught the arse end of most.

The first one was the best one. Tired And Weary. Steve Beauchampe was behind it. It was going to be called The End Of The Road but they couldn't get the title on the page. I think it ran to 11 or 12 issues.

A common theme running through a lot of the feedback to the new design is "if it's not broke why fix it?", well here's why.

Small Heath Alliance has been running for 17 years, for about the last 10 years of it's been running on the same software, over the years, I've added things, removed things, subtly changed things, and to be brutally honest no matter what you think of the design behind the scenes it was held together with blue-tack and sellotape. It was a mess and it needed to be tidied up. Читать дальше...

Starting to turn into a bit of an enemy for me, yet again another person that does understands the rules but thinks he's above them therefore putting a hell of a lot at risk for everyone else will monk walk? Yep maybe very very annoying this bloke is maybe going under the radar due to silly in fighting and turf wars.

Wolves and FFP (14 replies)

With all the news about us being given an FFP embargo, and the Vile seemingly inevitably, about to also fall short of their FFP requirements it makes me wonder how Wolves managed to spend such large amounts. They can't have a particularly high revenue compared to us so it really makes you wonder. On this point I find the lack of transparency in FFP really troubling.

It seems like a good system for stopping the growth of clubs with historically smaller revenues.
