Just finally watched this and should be entitled 'Murder of a Classic Story'.
Really not a patch on the 70's version, but a classic case of:There are not many re-makes that beat the original.
Surprised me in a way how hyped up this trash was, but shouldn't of as Hollywood does like to massage its own ego at times.

Well Done, Dominick Cunningham, winning GB’s 1st ever Gold in Men’s Floor at Euro Champs today.
Local lad, educated at Bishop Challenors in Kings Heath. Can we claim him as a Bluenose? Even if he’s a DVB, I wouldn’t care. That was a wonderful performance. Hopefully the first of many golds.

For me not many cover versions are better than the original. It's unusual, but not impossible, for the reinterpretation of the song to find something better than the original. Especially if the original was done by the person or people who wrote it.
I exclude standards from this definition to be fair, as a standard is fair game.
So - In your opinion who covered a song, but made it better?

Why the F have some people started to behave like it's winter just because the sky is grey and it's dropped a few Celsius?
Woke up this morning and couldn't work out why the house felt so stuffy only to realise that the Mrs had shut all the friggin windows. I tried to explain that when you've had 3 months plus of temperatures averaging around 26/27 degrees with warm nights warmth builds in the atmosphere so even if the temp drops a little there's still a warmth.
