Re: VAR Fans ...

Small Heath Alliance

Not sure about VAR in its current usage but, one things for certain, as in rugby the ref should tell the players to 'shut the feck up'. Then make the decision.

Possibly be useful to explain the rules and decision to the player and captain involved

VAR Fans ...

... just seen the clip of when Michael Oliver gave Chelsea their penalty in this years cup final. You hear all of Oliver's comments leading up to and up to the penalty being taken plus some of the players reactions.

Blooming insightful as it shows how much hassle the ref has to put up with from players not knowing the rules (or pretending not to) and how easy it could be to get decisions wrong. Should do this more often, even when refs get it wrong, as everyone can see how big decsions were made. Читать дальше...

Bogle's attitude (24 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Fine performance today. Only one thing really angered me and that was the attitude of Bogle. He's in danger of becoming a bad apple in the team. His body language isn't good. If he doesn't get what he wants he gestures to his teammates to show his frustration. Many times it's because he doesn't anticipate. Once he got a great ball past him in to space. All he had to do was follow it on the turn, but he just let it go past him and then expressed his anger that it wasn't to his feet. When he was substituted his dissent was plain to see. The bomb squad (19 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

There has been much discussion about how GM has handled players considered not to be part of his plans. Other than Stockdale none of the bomb squad were even close to the first team and FFP was tightening its grip. If you want to get a player out then you need to make life a bit uncomfortable for them otherwise they will happily draw their 20k per week and not pressure their agent to find them a move. The tactic has worked and I think we will also find Greg Stewart and Diego Fabrinni (hopefully) move on loan in the next few days. Читать дальше...

Camp and Monk (139 replies)

This team has been completely let down by having one of the worst goalies to wear a blues shirt, and monk must take the blame for playing him

Any idea why he wasn’t in the squad yesterday? thought he could of been a good sub to try see the game out at 1-2, he has looked decent this season until his red card.

Is the football club haunted? (5 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Obviously it could be worse, we could have a squad full of freebies, loanees with the highest earner on 5 grand a week.

But has there ever been a more frustrating start to a season?

Not a single Blues fan would have said "we've won this" at 2-0 with 15 minutes to spare, because we all know how the club tends to punch us in the face.

It shouldn't have been, but that was one of the most painful goals we've ever conceded. The desperation for a win and then that happens. Читать дальше...

Birmingham City let a two-goal lead slip to draw with Nottingham Forest 2-2 at the City Ground on Saturday. The performance of Lee Camp in goal particularly for Forests second - has once again reignited calls from some fans to reintegrate either David Stockdale or Tomasz Kuszczak into the first tea

Watching the Chelsea Newcastle match my daughter says "No wonder we are not in the Premiership" Me - Why is that ? - "Have you seen the amount of passes these are doing, we can't even pass to blue shirt"

It was difficult to argue with her.
