Look, I know that it’s fashionable to describe the Villa as “Witton Historians”, and I can understand why their insistence on talking up the trophies they won over 100 years ago irritates Blues fans.
But I think it’s important to find out about the history of your favourite club, and Blues have a rich and interesting past about which we should have a right to be proud.

There has been much discussion about how GM has handled players considered not to be part of his plans. Other than Stockdale none of the bomb squad were even close to the first team and FFP was tightening its grip. If you want to get a player out then you need to make life a bit uncomfortable for them otherwise they will happily draw their 20k per week and not pressure their agent to find them a move. The tactic has worked and I think we will also find Greg Stewart and Diego Fabrinni (hopefully) move on loan in the next few days. Читать дальше...

Not many retail/leisure outlets are closed on Bank Holidays in the modern era.

Its exciting isnt it? An actual football team that can press high up the pitch, pass the ball and run with it. Without a doubt the best we have looked since Hughton.
Despite the poor results weve only looked poor in one of the games.
We are 3 or 4 players away from having a great team in this league. A consistent striker, ball playing midfielder and a goalkeeper.
If we can just finish midtable this season, get the embargo lifted and push for promotion next season. Читать дальше...
