Is he injured or just a bit of a fanny that GM is not keen on?

Never again. Went for three nights, and i’d rather have a ten-year season ticket at villa park than go again. Dirty, smelly, very expensive, full of pickpockets and conmen selling tat, crowded. Food is grim too. Can imagine you’d have fun there if you were loaded and liked shopping and museums (which I don’t). Anyone have a similar/different experience.

Makes me laugh how the French pride themselves on their cooking.

Went to Lille on a cheap Eurostar deal last year. The local signature dishes were beef and mustard stew and cheese on toast. The fancy food must be in a different part of France...
I love Lille. Great beer. Friendly people. Nice architecture. No Parisians.

Better than Paris?

Please say yes.

Rome...pasta, coffee, fountains, icecream, mopeds, walking, bars, football
Paris...croissants, coffee, trees, river, monuments, fries, free bikes.

If push came to shove, I'd go Paris.

I remember all the pubs and hotels being full of blues , I think Annie basset had just gone there after leaving us , most of the nineties are just a blur but I’m sure I never imagined it

A couple of album recommendations (7 replies)

Just heads up for those who wander around on the psyche and rock landscape.

King Buffalo - Longing To Be The Mountain

Shades of Floyd with Mascis on guitar, melodic, heavy on the fuzz in places and deffo in the psych mould. Personally, my favourite album released so far this year. Sort of what Muse would sound like if they actually sounded like people claim they do.

Kikagaku Moyo - Masana Temples

Deffo a Can vibe about their cosmic meanderings, very tuneful... Читать дальше...
